Westpac Banking Corporation has sold its New Zealand life insurance business to Fidelity Life after shaking on a $373 million deal and a 15-year distribution agreement. CEO Peter King said the sale of the unit to New Zealand’s biggest life insurer and backed by the country’s sovereign wealth fund NZ Super was a significant development in its transformation.
